A local leader in sustainability, Taylor is the Founder and President of REAL Building Consultants.

Working on many ‘first’ projects for premier clients, Taylor has had the opportunity to showcase his sustainability management knowledge—as it relates to creating responsible, efficient and healthy places—on a diverse array of projects.

His focus is on helping project teams integrate efficiency, health and sustainability early in a project – when the most impact can be made.  Taylor’s approach involves providing clients with early sustainability planning and development ideas, design consulting, efficiency evaluation, integration management and LEED certification administration.

Prior to founding REAL Building Consultants, Taylor was co-founder and Vice President of REAL Building Group – a residential and small-commercial design/build firm specializing in high-performance and sustainable projects – where he consulted on various LEED Platinum and net-zero energy projects. Early in his career Taylor consulted with the Midtown Alliance in Atlanta, GA and worked for a real estate digital agency specializing in master planned community branding, sales and marketing.

Taylor currently is the Chair of the US Green Building Council Florida Gulf Coast Chapter, and is a board member of the Gasparilla Music Festival (where he crafts the Sustainability program). He is a LEED Accredited Professional (with Building Design and Construction specialty), and sits on the Urban Land Institute Tampa Bay Management Committee. He also frequently speaks, writes articles, curates and participates in events and panels related to urban development, sustainability and transportation.

He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Florida, with a minor in Business, and went on to earn a Master of International Business from the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida where he studied sustainable business models and strategy.
